A film studio in Houston has recently fallen victim to a series of burglaries targeting production facilities. The owner of CAS and Texas Collective Studios, Jeff Price, reported that his studio was broken into at the end of August, potentially marking the beginning of a troubling trend in the area.
Price explained that three men were caught on surveillance cameras breaking through the front door of his studio. These individuals bear a striking resemblance to suspects involved in approximately a dozen similar break-ins at various film and production studios across Houston.
The stolen equipment primarily consists of high-end cameras and lenses, leading many to suspect that the thieves possess insider knowledge of the industry. This theory has prompted industry professionals to convene and share information, as they seek to uncover the identity of those responsible for these costly crimes.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to these incidents to reach out to the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, or Crime Stoppers, as the investigation continues.
