A tragic pedestrian accident occurred in New Braunfels, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man. The incident took place on Friday night on the Interstate 35 North frontage road.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 8:15 p.m. after reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that a vehicle had struck a man who was on the roadway.
The victim was quickly transported to Seton Hays Hospital in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have indicated that they do not anticipate any criminal charges against the driver at this time.
