In a tragic incident early Sunday morning, one woman lost her life, and another sustained injuries in a shooting at an apartment complex in north Harris County. The surviving victim is currently in fair condition at a nearby hospital, while both women were discovered by deputies at the scene located on Kuykendahl Road.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the shooting occurred at the complex situated at 12655 Kuykendahl Road, close to West Rankin Road. Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office responded to the scene, where they found the two adult women suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately, one succumbed to her injuries.
At this time, the authorities have not disclosed the identities of the victims or the motive behind the shooting. Homicide detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigation units from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, are actively pursuing the investigation. However, no details regarding any suspects have been released as the inquiry continues.
