South Dallas Shooting: Victim Identified and Suspect Jermiah Savage Apprehended

A 21-year-old man has been taken into custody following a deadly shooting in South Dallas. The incident occurred early Friday morning, resulting in the death of 31-year-old Lee Womack Jr. on Linfield Road.

The suspect, Jermiah Savage, was arrested at the scene due to an outstanding warrant related to a probation violation for attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child. He is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail with a bond set at $100,000. The investigation into the homicide is still active, and authorities have indicated that the case will be presented to a grand jury for consideration of further charges.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were dispatched to a shooting report at approximately 2:25 a.m. in the 3300 block of Linfield Road. Initial findings suggest that Savage shot Womack, who later succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel who arrived at the scene.
