A child sustained injuries after a lightning strike hit a residence in Harris County on Tuesday evening, as reported by local officials. The incident occurred near the intersection of Cypress View Drive and Cypress Ridge Drive, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
The electrical surge from the lightning traveled through the home’s wiring, resulting in a minor fire in the attic and delivering a shock to the homeowner’s son while he was using a computer at the time.
Emergency Medical Services are currently evaluating the child’s condition, though specific details regarding his health have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
