In a remarkable display of bravery, several officers from the Missouri City Police Department successfully rescued an autistic boy who was found near a body of water earlier this month. The incident, which took place on August 7, was documented on camera.
Upon receiving a call about the situation, officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Glenn Lakes Lane at West Creek Club Drive. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young boy in the water, prompting immediate action from Officers Trevino, Guerra, and Schuessler.
Police Chief Troy Finner praised the officers for their swift response, stating, “Without hesitation, our officers entered the water and worked together to bring the child to safety. Their quick response, teamwork, and willingness to act during a critical moment demonstrate the level of service we expect and value at the Missouri City Police Department.” He expressed his pride in the officers, emphasizing that their dedication to public safety goes beyond enforcing the law—it is also about being there for those in need.
Details surrounding how the boy ended up near the creek remain unclear, including his age at the time of the incident.
