‘The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’ tells the story of a local brothel that finds itself under threat from a TV preacher who labels it as “the Devil’s Playhouse.” The town sheriff, a frequent visitor to the establishment, takes it upon himself to defend it. This classic 1982 film adaptation of the Broadway hit features a stellar cast, including the charismatic Burt Reynolds, the comedic Dom DeLuise, and the incomparable Dolly Parton, who delivers a series of unforgettable musical numbers, including the iconic ballad “I Will Always Love You.”
Steel Magnolias
The 1989 film ‘Steel Magnolias,’ based on a popular stage play, centers around a wedding in the fictional town of Chinquapin, Louisiana.
