Originally hailing from San Diego, Ella moved to Texas for her studies at Baylor University, eventually staying in Waco for a couple of years. This past summer, she settled in Austin to begin her role as a third-grade teacher, sharing a cozy apartment in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
While her initial experiences in Austin have been enjoyable, Ella finds herself overwhelmed by the multitude of activities available. “I have felt kind of like positively overwhelmed with how many things there are to do,” she expressed. “There are so many fun places to go that I kind of get analysis paralysis, and I don’t know where to start.”
This situation, while not uncommon for newcomers, can still pose a challenge. Ella has already visited popular spots like Barton Springs and various local eateries, but she is eager to hear recommendations from those more familiar with the city.
