Tragic Wrong Way Crash on Grand Parkway Claims Three Lives and Injures Toddler

Three family members have tragically lost their lives, and a young child is hospitalized following a wrong-way crash on the Grand Parkway in Fort Bend County, Texas. Authorities have confirmed that the accident occurred early Saturday morning.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. on SH-99 near FM 1464. A family of four was traveling northbound when their vehicle was struck by a car traveling south in the wrong direction.

According to officials, a woman and a young girl were pronounced dead at the scene, while a man succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. A three-year-old child from the family, along with the wrong-way driver, was also taken to a medical facility for treatment. Fortunately, the child is expected to recover.

The site of the crash was cleared by approximately 11 a.m. However, authorities have yet to publicly identify any of the individuals involved in the incident. It has been reported that the family hailed from Harris County, and the wrong-way driver is a 28-year-old individual.

Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the accident, as inquiries continue into this devastating event.
