Police in Dallas have arrested 24-year-old Damiean Roberson in connection with the fatal shooting of rapper Zeethewizard, also known as Zecqurie Fields, who was killed on New Year’s Day. According to law enforcement documents, Roberson, a member of the rapper’s entourage, allegedly shot him during a shootout in a nightclub parking lot.

The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of January 1 at the Pinkhouse Dallas nightclub, where Fields had performed earlier that night. He succumbed to his injuries on January 5 after being admitted to the hospital.

Authorities reported that a confrontation ensued in the parking lot, involving Fields’ group and another set of individuals. Security footage captured the moments leading up to the shooting, showing an altercation that escalated into gunfire exchanged between both parties.

Investigators believe that Roberson shot Fields in the back of the head while standing directly behind him, as indicated by the video evidence.

Friends and family members have expressed their grief over the loss of Fields, highlighting his dedication to his community and his generous spirit. Terreon Randolph, a close friend, described him as a “great guy” with a genuine heart who always sought to help others.
