Family of Slain 17 Year Old in Cloverleaf Area Seeks Justice Amid Heartbreaking Grief

Family members of a 17-year-old who was tragically shot in the Cloverleaf area are seeking justice during this difficult time.

The victim, identified as Jayden Ford, was shot after visiting an apartment complex on Uvalde near Woodforest. According to sheriff’s deputies, the incident occurred on Thursday when two young men, part of a group of teens, approached Jayden while wearing hoodies and masks.

Expressing their grief, Jayden’s mother, Tayosha Davis, shared, “He’s the life of our family. A goofy kid who could make you laugh all day. His smile would light up a room.”

Jayden’s grandmother, Lakisha Brown, conveyed the family’s heartbreak, stating, “We’re broken. A piece of us has been ripped away from us.”

Byron Coley Jr., Jayden’s stepdad, described his profound loss, saying, “He meant everything to me. He and Kyle were the first kids who taught me how to be a dad. I can’t explain how I feel. We want to ensure we get justice for our son.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to reach out to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
