An 18-year-old has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting incident that occurred last week in a north Harris County neighborhood. The victim, Daniel Medina, was shot before losing control of his vehicle, which subsequently crashed on Pinechester Drive.
The tragic event took place on February 13, when deputies responded to reports of a vehicle that had collided with a garage. Upon arrival, they discovered Medina unconscious in the driver’s seat, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Initial reports inaccurately stated Medina’s age as 19; however, updates have clarified that he was indeed 18 years old at the time of the incident.
Authorities believe that the shooting occurred near Timberhaven Drive, not far from the location of the crash. As of now, no suspects have been identified, and there is no available description of the shooter.
