Prepare for a lively celebration! Downtown Arlington is set to host a vibrant St. Patrick’s Day event on Tuesday, March 17th, featuring the much-anticipated annual St. Patrick’s Day party at J. Gilligan’s.
St. Patrick’s Day Block Party
The festivities kick off at 11 a.m., rain or shine, for the 46th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party at J. Gilligan’s, located at 400 E Abram St. This family-friendly gathering will offer activities like face painting and balloon art. Attendees can indulge in festive treats such as green beer and the renowned Irish Nachos while enjoying live music from various bands and a DJ spread across the venue, including the restaurant, bar, and outdoor spaces. Event t-shirts will also be available for purchase, along with exciting giveaways and raffles. Please be aware that a $5 cover charge will be enforced starting at 5 p.m.
Hooligan’s Pub
Head over to Hooligan’s at 310 E Abram St, Ste 150, on the same day for Shamrocks & Shenanigans. Guests can enjoy themed beverages, participate in raffles and games, and listen to live music—all while savoring that special green beer while supporting the local Irish pub.
The Mosaic Market
From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 17th, visit the Lucky Finds Market at 734 Stadium Dr. Seek out hidden gold coins and shamrocks to unlock discounts on your purchases: enjoy 15% off with a Gold Coin and 10% off with a Shamrock.
Race Weekend Touch-A-Truck Event
Bring the entire family downtown for an exciting race weekend on Saturday, March 14th, with a free Touch-a-Truck event from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Located in the city parking lot just west of City Hall at 201 W Abram St, this engaging experience allows children of all ages to explore large construction vehicles, emergency trucks, and unique specialty vehicles. The event will also feature free face painting, balloon twisting, chalk art, crafts, and more, making it a perfect outing for families.
The “Pit Stop” Food Drive
As part of the weekend festivities, a food drive titled “Pit Stop” encourages attendees to bring canned food donations to support Mission Arlington. Each contribution aids in combating hunger within the community. After donating, guests can enjoy meals and drinks at one of the Downtown restaurants, creating an ideal pit stop to energize before the big race.
