Emergency services responded to a fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler in Fort Worth on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred near Cherry Lane on eastbound Interstate 30.
According to authorities, the driver of a stationary big rig had exited his vehicle when he was struck by another truck traveling along the freeway’s shoulder. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Aerial footage captured by SKY 4 revealed the overturned big rig on the roadside, accompanied by multiple police units and tow trucks. In light of the ongoing investigation, all eastbound lanes of I-30 were closed to traffic.
At this time, it remains uncertain whether the driver responsible for the collision stopped to provide assistance after the incident.
