Sheriff Identifies Human Remains Discovered at Llano County Ranch in

Authorities in Llano County, Texas, have made significant progress in identifying human remains that were discovered in 2018. After nearly a decade of uncertainty, investigators believe the remains belong to Eric William Wallace.

The skeletal remains were unearthed on April 1, 2018, on a ranch located in the western part of Llano County. Officials suspect that Wallace may have gone missing sometime before the end of 2017.

According to the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, DNA analysis has indicated a strong likelihood that the remains are those of Wallace. However, officials are currently seeking dental records to confirm this identification. Wallace’s family has been informed and is actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation. They reported that they lost contact with him in late 2017 and have not heard from him since.

Wallace is known to have lived in multiple states, including North Carolina, Florida, and Texas’ San Antonio.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have information related to Wallace’s disappearance or who may have had contact with him prior to his last known communication to reach out to Investigator Adam Guerrero at 325-247-5767.

The remains, which were identified as belonging to a white male between the ages of 24 and 39, measuring between 4’11” and 5’7″, were analyzed by the Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State University. A forensic imaging specialist from the Texas Rangers also conducted a facial reconstruction of the remains, which was subsequently entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). Notably, only a partial skeleton was recovered during the investigation.
