Houston Pride has officially announced that the 2026 pride parade will be rescheduled to mid-August. The event is set to return to Downtown Houston on Saturday, August 15, after being postponed due to inclement weather.
The parade was originally planned to occur following the pride festival earlier this month. However, organizers made the decision to delay the festivities due to storms that affected the area throughout the day.
Pride Houston 365 made the announcement via social media, confirming the new date for the highly anticipated event. Despite the postponement, attendees of the pride festival continued to celebrate in downtown Houston, showing their resilience and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
In collaboration with the Houston Mayor’s Office of Special Events, Pride Houston determined the new date for the parade. VIP ticket holders who purchased grandstand tickets will still be able to use them for the rescheduled event.
However, the announcement did not specify the start time for the parade on the new date. The original parade was scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., leaving attendees eager for further details.
