A British athlete is currently undertaking an extraordinary challenge: running 50 marathons across all 50 U.S. states in just 24 days to raise funds for cancer awareness. Will Goodge marked a significant milestone by completing his 14th marathon in Fort Worth on Friday.
Goodge’s motivation stems from a personal loss; he was inspired to embark on this ambitious journey after his mother succumbed to cancer. He discovered that running not only serves as a form of therapy for his grief but also helps support others affected by the disease.
“Once I started raising money for cancer charities, it became clear that running was not just aiding my healing process, but also benefiting individuals like my mother, along with their friends and families,” Goodge shared.
His overarching goal is to encourage others to transform their negative life experiences into positive actions. Through his cross-country trek, Goodge aims to inspire those facing similar challenges to find hope and motivation in their struggles.
