Authorities in Pflugerville, Texas, are investigating the discovery of a body in Lake Pflugerville. The remains of an unidentified adult male were located near a pier in the lake.
The incident unfolded shortly after 8:54 a.m. when a family reported observing what appeared to be a body partially submerged in the water. Police promptly arrived at the scene to verify the sighting.
Fire department personnel entered the lake and successfully recovered the body. The individual was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, at approximately 9:14 a.m.
While the identity of the deceased has yet to be disclosed, law enforcement officials confirmed that the victim is an adult male. At present, authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Pflugerville Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
