Driver Charged in Deadly Early Morning Crash on North Central Expressway, Dallas

A woman has lost her life, and a juvenile is in critical condition following a multi-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday on the North Central Expressway in Dallas.

The incident took place around 3:56 a.m. near North Henderson Avenue when a silver pickup truck veered across two lanes of traffic, colliding with a concrete barrier and a support pillar. The truck then re-entered the roadway and struck a red pickup truck, which subsequently crashed into the concrete barrier, coming to a halt in the travel lanes.

After the initial impact, the silver truck continued forward and hit the barrier a second time. The driver of the silver truck was accompanied by four passengers, all of whom were transported to a local hospital. Tragically, an adult female passenger later succumbed to her injuries, while a juvenile remains hospitalized with serious conditions.

The red pickup truck was occupied by a driver and one passenger, with the passenger receiving medical attention at the hospital for evaluation.

The driver of the silver truck was arrested at the scene and subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet disclosed the driver’s identity or the exact charges, pending their booking into the Dallas County Jail. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
