East Austin Hit and Run: Two Injured, Suspect Sought by APD

Austin police are actively searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in East Austin, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

The incident took place on December 28, 2025, at approximately 6:28 p.m. near the intersection of East Riverside Drive and Royal Crest Drive. According to law enforcement, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Kevin Eduardo Aguilar Yac, collided with another vehicle from behind, causing injuries to both occupants inside the car. Fortunately, their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Following the collision, Yac fled the scene.

Authorities have since issued a warrant for Yac’s arrest and are appealing to the public for assistance in locating him. Currently, he does not have a known address in Austin, with his last known whereabouts being in Tucson, Arizona.
