AUSTIN, Texas – A tragic incident has led to the complete closure of all northbound lanes on MoPac at 45th Street following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian riding an e-scooter.
Traffic is currently being diverted off the highway at 45th Street, with the northbound section closed through the 4700 block. Authorities are advising drivers to seek alternative routes, as it is anticipated that the lanes will remain inaccessible for several hours while investigators assess the scene.
The Austin Police Department and Austin-Travis County EMS are actively involved in the investigation surrounding the crash.
