A man has been charged with murder following a tragic incident that occurred after a meeting facilitated by a mobile dating app in Northwest Dallas. The shooting, which happened on Friday morning, has left one woman dead and another victim in critical condition.
Authorities report that the suspect, 26-year-old Noah Trueba, allegedly shot a 57-year-old woman, Guadalupe Gonzalez, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel. The second victim was quickly transported to a local hospital, where they remain in a critical state.
According to police affidavits, Trueba spent time drinking and using drugs with Gonzalez and her partner, who referred to themselves as husband and wife. He later claimed that the couple attempted to sexually assault him, prompting him to open fire. Following the incident, police utilized a drone to locate Trueba, who had fled the scene and was found hiding along a nearby highway.
Trueba was apprehended at the scene and is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail, facing a murder charge.
