Harris County Officials Confirm Christmas Day Shooting of Almeda Car Fire Victim

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are investigating a disturbing incident following the discovery of a man who was shot inside a burning vehicle on Christmas Day.

At approximately 4 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Fellows Road near Del Papa Street. The Houston Fire Department was already on-site extinguishing the flames when law enforcement arrived.

Upon inspection, deputies found an adult male inside the car, who had unfortunately suffered from a gunshot wound. Investigators from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are currently working to ascertain the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

As of now, details regarding the motive for the shooting remain unclear, and no suspects have been identified.
