Houston police are seeking assistance in identifying a man accused of an aggravated robbery that escalated to violence against a woman in the Third Ward area. The incident took place around 2 a.m. on a recent Friday morning near the intersection of Eagle Street and Live Oak Street.
According to authorities, the victim was waiting in her vehicle outside her boyfriend’s residence when a man approached her under the pretense of conversation. The situation quickly turned threatening when the woman noticed he was armed.
The suspect demanded her vehicle keys, and when she informed him that she did not have them, he threatened her with a firearm, warning her not to move. In a moment of distraction, the woman attempted to reach for her mace, but the man proceeded to steal her watch and other belongings.
After exiting the vehicle, the victim was shot and struck multiple times in the head with the firearm before the assailant fled the scene with her possessions. The police have released a sketch of the suspect, who is described as a light-skinned Black man, approximately 5’5″ tall, dressed in a dark hoodie and dark shorts, and has tattoos on the back of his legs.
