Major 18 Wheeler Accident Shuts Down I 30 in Dallas

18-wheeler Crash Closes I-30 in Dallas

A jackknifed 18-wheeler has led to a complete closure of westbound Interstate 30 near the Canyon in Downtown Dallas, resulting in significant traffic delays. The congestion currently extends back to Ferguson Road, with all westbound main lanes blocked and vehicles being redirected to the service road.

The incident occurred early Wednesday morning near Good Latimer Boulevard when the 18-wheeler jackknifed and crashed.

This accident has effectively halted all westbound traffic on I-30 for those attempting to enter Downtown Dallas. By 6:30 a.m., the traffic backup had reached Ferguson Road, with only the service road allowing for some passage.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and utilize side streets as alternative routes.
