Multi Agency Investigation Launched After Shooting Incident at Whataburger Parking Lot in East Texas

A multi-agency investigation is currently underway following a tragic shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Whataburger in Marshall, Texas. This unfortunate event resulted in the deaths of two individuals, while two others sustained injuries.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after receiving a 911 call reporting gunfire at approximately 1:50 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Sadly, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The current conditions of the surviving victims have not been disclosed, and authorities are withholding the identities of those who lost their lives until their next of kin have been notified.

The Marshall Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, along with the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, is spearheading the investigation. A significant number of law enforcement agencies are collaborating in this active case, including the Texas Rangers, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, and the Longview Police Department. However, authorities have yet to provide any details regarding potential suspects or the motive behind this violent act.
