The highly anticipated Fort Worth Oktoberfest is set to return to Trinity Park next weekend, promising a vibrant celebration of German culture and traditions.
Running from Thursday, September 24, to Saturday, September 26, the festival will feature over 50 German polka bands and traditional performances across three stages. Attendees can indulge in a variety of authentic German dishes, including bratwursts, currywurst, potato pancakes, pretzels, schnitzel, and strudel, alongside beloved carnival treats.
The festivities will commence with the ceremonial Tapping of the Kegs on Thursday, leading into a weekend filled with engaging activities such as the Oktoberfest Olympics, carnival rides, dachshund races, a brat-eating contest, bier-barrel rolling, stein hoisting competitions, and a 5K run. This year’s musical lineup will feature the Grammy-nominated Alex Meixner Band, as well as other acts like Alpenmusikanten, Das Ist Lustig, Lederhosen Junkies, Off the Grid Band, Mike & the Middletones, and the Walburg Boys. Adding to the excitement, the Happy Hour Oktoberfestband will be returning from Bavaria to join the celebration.
Attendees can seek refuge from the heat in the air-conditioned Paulaner Festzelt and Van Zandt Zelt, or relax in the shaded biergartens, where a selection of German beers will be available, including offerings from presenting sponsor Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr. These breweries have roots dating back to the 19th century and are among the original six served at Munich’s Oktoberfest.
In addition to delicious food and drink, a variety of shopping vendors will be present in the Marktplatz, offering baked goods, condiments, handcrafted items, clothing, leather accessories, and woodwork creations.
Tickets for the festival are priced between $10 and $20 and can be purchased online. Those who buy tickets in advance will receive a complimentary 2026 commemorative Oktoberfest half-liter glass stein, while supplies last. A limited quantity of steins will also be available for those who purchase tickets at the gate. Children under 12 can enter for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
