Authorities in Plano are investigating the tragic death of a woman found in her home, which has led to the arrest of her husband on charges of abusing her corpse. The incident unfolded on Wednesday after police were requested to perform a welfare check due to concerns about possible family violence.
The welfare check took place around 10:30 a.m. when a caller expressed worries after being unable to reach the woman. Upon arriving at the residence located on Charles Place, officers discovered the woman deceased inside the property.
Following the discovery, her husband was taken into custody for allegedly committing abuse of a corpse. Police have indicated that further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation progresses. At this time, the identities of both the victim and her husband have not been released, and the cause of death remains undetermined.
Investigators are continuing to process the crime scene and are expected to provide more information, including the husband’s name and photograph, in the coming days.
