San Marcos police have apprehended a man suspected of attempting to abduct two women.
Kevin Andrew Frimpong, 38, faces charges including one count of kidnapping and two counts of impersonating a public servant. He was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. on Friday and is currently being held at the Hays County Jail.
The first incident reportedly occurred at the San Marcos City Cemetery, where the victim informed authorities that Frimpong claimed to be a law enforcement officer, displayed handcuffs, and attempted to restrain her. Fortunately, the woman managed to escape and promptly contacted the police.
Authorities later received another report regarding Frimpong’s suspicious behavior at a nearby residence, leading to his arrest.
At this time, no bond amount for Frimpong has been disclosed.
