Tyler Reddick Achieves Historic Third Straight Win in NASCAR Cup Series Season Opener

Tyler Reddick has etched his name in the annals of NASCAR history by becoming the first driver to kick off a Cup Series season with three straight victories. He achieved this remarkable feat at the DuraMax Grand Prix held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.

Driving the #45 Chumba Casino Toyota, Reddick started from pole position and successfully fended off strong competition from Ryan Blaney of Team Penske and Shane Van Gisbergen from Trackhouse Racing.

This victory also marked Reddick’s second win at COTA, making him the first driver to claim back-to-back victories at this track since the race’s inception there. He previously won the event in 2023. Additionally, this triumph halted Van Gisbergen’s impressive streak of five consecutive wins on road and street courses.

As Reddick celebrated with his team, they raised three fingers in acknowledgment of his historic accomplishment. The jubilant atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of co-owner Michael Jordan, who joined Reddick in celebrating this significant milestone while holding Reddick’s son, Beau.

Reddick’s performance in the Cup Series continues to captivate fans and solidify his standing as a formidable competitor within the sport.
