A tragic accident in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas resulted in one fatality and left another individual injured early Sunday morning. The incident occurred on South Buckner Boulevard when a pickup truck disregarded a red light and collided with an SUV.
Dallas Police responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash in the 5500 block of South Buckner Boulevard at approximately 1:10 a.m. Preliminary investigations indicate that the pickup truck failed to stop at the red light, leading to the collision with the SUV.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have withheld the identity of the deceased driver until family notifications can be made. Meanwhile, the SUV’s driver was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Authorities have initiated an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
