Players from the Austin FC Academy are currently facing an investigation conducted by the Austin Police Department and the FBI, stemming from allegations of sexual abuse within the organization’s youth program.
In a recent statement, the Austin FC Academy disclosed that it first became aware of the allegations in December 2025, which pertain to incidents of misconduct among players within the academy.
Academy officials confirmed that they promptly notified the relevant authorities, including the Austin Police Department, the U.S. Center for SafeSport, and Major League Soccer. Additionally, the academy initiated an internal review of the matter. Following these developments, several players were suspended or expelled from the program.
The Austin Police Department has verified the ongoing investigation to various news outlets. The Austin FC Academy comprises five teams that compete in the MLS Next league, with age groups ranging from U-13 to U-18.
