A search operation for a missing swimmer in Travis County has officially transitioned into a recovery effort, as confirmed by Austin-Travis County EMS on Saturday. Emergency responders were dispatched shortly after noon to the location at 19008 Silver Maple Drive, where the swimmer was last seen.
Authorities reported that the individual submerged and subsequently failed to resurface. By 1 p.m., officials indicated that the nature of the operation had shifted from one of rescue to recovery.
In a statement shared on social media, officials expressed their concerns, noting, “Despite extensive search efforts, the missing swimmer has not yet been located.”
