Alief House Fire: Woman Sustains Burns on Glenwolde Drive

HOUSTON – A woman sustained burn injuries during a house fire in the Alief area and was subsequently hospitalized, as reported by the Houston Fire Department.

Details from Deputy Chief Garcia with District 68 indicate that emergency units were dispatched to Glenwolde Drive following reports of a fire in a single-story residence. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that flames were engulfing the roof, with fire reaching heights of up to 20 feet above the structure.

At least four individuals had already evacuated the home by the time firefighters arrived. One woman was transported to the hospital after suffering burns on her legs.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have originated in the garage before spreading throughout the house. Authorities are continuing to investigate the precise cause of the fire.
