The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of North Texas, including Jack, Montague, and Young County, effective until midnight. These storms are projected to reach the DFW area overnight, with warnings of high winds, hail, flooding, and isolated tornadoes, although the risk is lower along the I-35 corridor.
Severe weather hazards are anticipated to return Wednesday evening. Meteorologists highlight large hail and damaging winds as the primary concerns. A dryline to the west is expected to trigger the first wave of storm development, with forecasts indicating the storms will traverse the Metroplex between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday. As the storms move eastward Thursday morning, a lull in activity is expected by the afternoon. However, another wave of inclement weather is set to arrive Friday evening, becoming widespread overnight into Saturday. This system is likely to bring large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding, with the timing of the heaviest rain still uncertain at this stage.
A cold front is predicted to sweep through the region from northwest to southeast on Saturday afternoon, bringing cooler and drier air. Low temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s and 50s late Saturday. By Saturday night, rain is forecasted to diminish, leaving Easter Sunday predominantly dry and pleasant, with highs reaching the mid- to upper 60s. There remains a slight chance of rain for areas located south of the Metroplex.
