Cleverley Stone passed away on May 28, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 68. Her final wish was for Houston Restaurant Weeks to continue indefinitely in her honor.

In her memory, the Cleverley Stone Foundation was established by her daughter, Katie Stone, to perpetuate her mother’s mission of supporting Houston Restaurant Weeks, which benefits the Houston Food Bank. This event occurs annually from August 1 through Labor Day, with Houstonians and local restaurant owners having collectively raised over $22 million in the past 21 years to aid those in need.

Both Houston Restaurant Weeks and its companion event, Eat Drink HTX, serve as the largest annual fundraiser for the nation’s largest food bank, which provides services across an 18-county region in southeast Texas.

Mark your calendars for Eat Drink HTX from February 15 to 28, 2026, and Houston Restaurant Weeks from August 1 to September 7, 2026.
