A driver was hospitalized early Saturday morning following a collision between his Jeep and a CapMetro train in Leander, Texas. The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Hero Way and U.S. Highway 183.
According to city officials, the driver failed to adhere to traffic signals, which led him directly into the path of the oncoming train. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
The current condition of the driver remains unclear, as authorities continue their investigation into the accident.
