Toddler in Vehicle Targeted by Road Rage Shooter on I 45 Near Greenspoint

A road rage incident escalated dangerously near Greenspoint when a driver allegedly fired shots at a vehicle occupied by a woman and her 14-month-old child. Fortunately, no one was injured during the frightening encounter.

Late Saturday night, around 11:30 p.m., a patrol officer stationed in the Independence Heights area was approached by the victim on West Tidwell Road. The driver reported that while traveling on I-45 near Greens Road, he experienced aggressive behavior from another motorist.

The situation intensified when the suspect reportedly collided with the rear of the victim’s truck before discharging a firearm from behind. The assailant then maneuvered alongside the victim’s vehicle and continued shooting.

Despite the gunfire, the driver, his passenger, and the toddler were not struck, though the driver sustained minor injuries from broken glass as a result of the shots fired.

As of now, authorities have not released any details regarding the identities of those involved, nor is there a description of the suspect available. Additionally, the circumstances leading up to this alarming incident remain unclear.
