The organization clarified that it does not send text messages to disseminate information about the power grid. Instead, Texans can stay informed through various reliable sources, including:
- Visiting the official ERCOT website at ercot.com for live updates.
- Signing up for alerts through the Texas Advisory and Notification System (TXANS).
- Following ERCOT’s official social media accounts, such as @ERCOT_ISO on X and @ERCOTISO on Facebook.
- Downloading the ERCOT mobile application for real-time updates.
With a winter storm on the horizon, ERCOT is closely monitoring the power grid. Earlier this week, the organization expressed confidence in its ability to meet the anticipated energy demands this winter.
