A man was shot and killed on a walking bridge in Fort Worth, Texas, on New Year’s Eve following a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend. The incident occurred in the 3400 block of Lake Como Drive, where the victim suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the torso.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the shooting, but despite their efforts to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the location.
According to initial investigations, the victim and the woman had been involved in a verbal and physical altercation prior to the shooting. Witnesses reported that the woman, after allegedly being assaulted, attempted to call for help before the gunfire erupted.
The woman involved in the incident was taken into custody by law enforcement and later received treatment for her injuries at a nearby hospital. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is currently being handled by Fort Worth homicide detectives.
