Galveston Police Capture Suspect in Deadly League City Shooting

Galveston authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in League City. The individual, identified as 38-year-old Isaiah Johnson from Magnolia, is now facing murder charges.

On the day of the incident, League City police responded to reports of a shooting at the Harbor Walk Apartments, situated on East FM 518. Upon arrival, they discovered a 37-year-old woman deceased inside a Toyota Corolla. Preliminary investigations indicated that she had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

During the course of the investigation, Johnson was identified as a person of interest. It was subsequently uncovered that he had fled the scene in a Hyundai Santa Fe. Details regarding Johnson and the vehicle were promptly circulated among nearby law enforcement agencies.

Shortly thereafter, the Galveston Police Department informed League City detectives that Johnson had voluntarily presented himself at their station, surrendering without any resistance.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and they are continuing to gather information regarding the incident.
