Hays County Fugitive Captured After San Marcos Shooting Incident

A man featured on the Hays County Crime Stoppers Most Wanted list has been apprehended in Buda, Texas, in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in San Marcos.

Authorities were actively pursuing Nicholas Andrew Knudsen, 29, following a shooting that took place on December 12 at the Redwood Apartments. Reports indicate that a shotgun was discharged into an apartment that was occupied at the time of the incident.

With assistance from the U.S. Marshals, Knudsen was located and taken into custody. He now faces several serious charges, including aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault, stemming from multiple investigations conducted by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, the Kyle Police Department, and the San Marcos Police Department.

Knudsen is currently being held at the Hays County Jail, with a bond set at over $2 million.
