Houston Homeowner Shoots Bleeding Intruder After Door Kicking Incident, Police Report

A man was shot by a homeowner in Houston after he forcibly entered the residence by kicking down the door in the early hours of the morning, according to police reports.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Ingomar Way, situated near Campden Hill Road in a southwest Houston neighborhood. The homeowner responded to the disturbance when he noticed a bleeding man knocking on doors.

Police stated that the man, who was already injured and bleeding from the head, was accompanied by another individual as they fled down the street. At some point, the bleeding man began to pound on the homeowner’s door, prompting the resident to investigate.

Upon seeing the injured man, the homeowner acted defensively as the situation escalated. The man kicked in the door and entered the house, at which point the homeowner fired multiple shots, hitting the intruder.

The wounded individual was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition. Authorities are currently searching for the second man who was with him but fled the scene. This person is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, jumpsuit, and a mask.

As of now, the identities of those involved in the incident remain unknown, and police are investigating the origins of the bleeding man’s injuries.
