A tragic incident occurred in Harris County, Texas, claiming the life of a 24-year-old woman and leaving her husband injured due to an accidental firearm discharge while they were cleaning weapons.

On Saturday evening, authorities responded to a call at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Harding Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds: a 25-year-old man and his wife, aged 24.

Investigations revealed that the couple, along with the husband’s brother, were engaged in the disassembly and reassembly of firearms at a table in the kitchen area. During this activity, the man’s firearm accidentally discharged, injuring his hand before the bullet struck his wife in the upper torso.

Both victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where the woman unfortunately succumbed to her injuries, while her husband received treatment for his hand wound.
