A two-alarm fire at an outdoor shopping center in Dallas resulted in damage to at least four businesses early Saturday morning. The incident unfolded at Inwood Village, where firefighters worked tirelessly for over four hours to extinguish the flames that primarily affected the attic of a two-story building.
The Dallas Fire-Rescue team received the emergency call at 5:55 a.m. and arrived on the scene to find smoke billowing from the roof of the commercial structure located at 5405 West Lovers Lane. Due to the fire’s rapid spread, a second alarm was issued, bringing approximately 45 to 50 firefighters to assist in the operation.
Fire crews diligently battled the blaze, tackling hot spots before finally declaring the fire extinguished at 10:07 a.m. Despite their efforts, at least four businesses suffered damage, predominantly in the attic area.
As the investigation into the fire continues, the specific identities of the affected businesses have yet to be confirmed, and the cause of the blaze remains undetermined.
