Katy Family and Teen Son Among 5 Arrested in $3M Houston Luxury Car Theft Operation

A Katy couple, their 17-year-old son, and two additional men have been charged in connection with a theft ring that is alleged to have stolen luxury vehicles valued at approximately $3 million. According to Houston Police, the group has been involved in this criminal activity for over a year, orchestrating the thefts of more than a dozen high-end cars.

Records indicate that four adults have been charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. The individuals charged are 41-year-old Dheyaa Abd, 35-year-old Iman Al Saedi, 30-year-old Saifuldeen Al Gburi, and 29-year-old Matthew Gonzalez. Court documents reveal that Abd and Al Saedi are married, and their son is also facing similar charges. The couple has subsequently posted bond set at $100,000 each, while Gonzalez secured a bond of $50,000.

The police operation that led to the arrests resulted in the recovery of 15 luxury vehicles, with a cumulative value of around $3 million. Investigations suggest that the theft ring operated from August 2025 to September 2026, utilizing methods such as hacking delivery orders or impersonating haulers to reroute the vehicles to alternate locations. Following this, the suspects allegedly transported the cars across state lines to shipping ports for overseas delivery.

One notable case involved a 2025 Mercedes GLE63, valued at over $266,000, which was intended for delivery in Florida. However, the driver received instructions to redirect the vehicle to a residence in Houston, where Al Saedi and the teenager paid for the tow and drove off with the car.

After Gonzalez’s arrest, he reportedly confessed to collaborating with Abd and Al Saedi in the theft operations for several months. He claimed that Abd would disable the vehicles’ tracking systems and coordinate their shipment to Dubai. Additionally, records indicate that Gonzalez visited Abd’s business in the Galleria area to collect payments, and there was an instance where Abd’s son directly compensated Gonzalez for his role in stealing a vehicle.
