Pearland authorities are seeking assistance in locating a man who violently assaulted and robbed a 79-year-old victim outside a Walgreens pharmacy. The incident took place on June 19, when the elderly man had just withdrawn cash from an ATM nearby.
According to the police, while the victim was heading back to his vehicle, he was approached by a Black male dressed in a white shirt and black pants. The suspect physically attacked the elderly man, inflicting injuries, and subsequently stole his wallet along with the cash he had just withdrawn.
In connection with this robbery, two individuals have been arrested. Donte Belle, 30, is facing charges of aggravated robbery for allegedly serving as the driver of the getaway vehicle, while 23-year-old Demondtra Moore is charged with aggravated robbery for his role as a lookout during the incident. Both men are now in custody, but the primary suspect remains unidentified and at large.
The Pearland Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, particularly the Special Investigations Unit, is diligently pursuing leads to apprehend the remaining suspect. However, at this time, the identity of the individual who committed the assault is still unknown.
