A driver tragically lost his life following a severe accident on US-90 early Sunday morning in east Harris County. Authorities have confirmed the incident took place around 4 a.m. near FM 2100.
According to reports, the driver veered off the eastbound lanes of the highway, colliding with a guard rail and a cement wall that is associated with the rail. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to overturn, ultimately coming to a halt in the grass adjacent to the roadway.
Emergency responders from Crosby Fire were able to extricate the driver from the mangled vehicle. He was subsequently airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
