Two individuals were apprehended following an attempted burglary at a Best Buy in Round Rock early Saturday morning.
Round Rock police received a report at approximately 4:45 a.m. regarding two men clad in dark clothing attempting to break into the store located on South IH-35. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle departing the vicinity and successfully executed a stop.
The occupants of the vehicle matched the description provided by the caller. During a search, authorities discovered burglary tools, shards of glass, and various other items within the car.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the police arrested the two men on suspicion of the attempted break-in. One of the suspects was identified as 28-year-old Jaylon Jefferson from Houston. He faces additional charges due to two outstanding warrants related to burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
The identity of the second suspect remains unclear, as he provided false identification information. Authorities are in the process of confirming his identity.
