South Austin Homicide Investigation: What We Know So Far

A homicide investigation is underway in south Austin following a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning. Officers were dispatched to Empress Boulevard just before 5 a.m. and discovered a woman with gunshot wounds.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel. Sergeant Lee Knouse of the Austin Police Department stated that authorities believe all individuals involved in the incident have been located and are currently cooperating with investigators.

As of now, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Knouse mentioned that further updates regarding the investigation are anticipated next week.
